LBS Bina Group is known for building successful townships and affordable homes for Malaysians for over 25 years. This is an on-going fulfillment of its visionary leader, Tan Sri Lim Hock San who has a heart to house the nation, where he believes homes need to have three pillars – Affordability, Connectivity and Community.
Tan Sri Lim plays an active role in supporting various causes. His passion had started long before the inception of LBS Foundation in 2015, which organises its various CSR initiatives into four key areas, focusing on education, community, health and the environment. Supporting Through Education
Consistent sponsorship towards ‘The Star Step Up’ and ‘Newspaper in Education’ programmes, helped the younger generation in promoting English proficiency. LBS had been a long-time supporter of this initiative since 2012. One of the more recent sponsorships was a 2-day preparatory workshop for UPSR students, which had resulted in the outstanding achievement of 100% passing rate in the English subject. Apart from sponsorship, LBS Foundation had also been driving various fund-raising activities for schools, partnering with tertiary students in their educational endeavours and providing the support they require.
Preserving the Environment
LBS Foundation initiatives also extend into creating environmental awareness through programs such as trees planting, which was held at Raja Musa Bestari Jaya Forest Reserve in this instance and Beach Clean Up project at Pantai Morib, Selangor.
Supporting Community Health
LBS has been supporting Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) since 2007; taking a vital role in raising awareness for Down Syndrome and by rallying support to sustain the operation of the KDSF National Centre, which is responsible for the welfare and education of the children housed there.
Aside from KDSF, LBS Foundation also contributed RM100,000 to support Hospice Klang that provides palliative care to the needy community in Klang and its surrounding district.
